Why doesn’t the tool show exact dollar amounts?
Because amounts and rates are indexed every year — sometimes every quarter — by the governments. Rather than show a figure that would quickly go stale, we describe each program and link to its official page, which always has the current amount.
Is this an eligibility decision?
No. It’s a starting point that surfaces programs whose criteria match your situation. Actual eligibility is determined by each program. When in doubt, contact your CLSC (811) or L’Appui (1-855-852-7784).
Where should I start?
For most families the CLSC is the entry point: a needs assessment unlocks home support and points you to several programs. Call 811, option 2.
